angiogenesis and the role of neovascularization in the
pathogenesis of cancer.
• Investigated down-stream substrates of the enzyme
Methionine aminopeptidase, the target of the Anti-
angiogenesis compound TNP- 470.
• Co-invented a dominant negative mutant of type II Methionine
aminopeptidase (patent pending). This genetic construct has
significant potential to serve as a future anti-cancer reagent
as well as assisting in the screening of novel anti-cancer
drugs.
